| General Overview | Zach was born in a Luddite community that was attempting to keep the Amish Faith alive in the 24th Century. They had shunned all forms of technology requiring electrical power, and had reformed a "Old Order" community on a far flung colony world they called "Terra Nova". He rejected this upbringing and took great pains to join Starfleet and become an Operations officer. | |

Personal History
| Personal History | Zachariah was born on Terra Nova in a strict, 'Old Order' Amish community. He was raised in their traditions, but when he came of age, he was sent on "Rumspringa" where he was allowed to travel and experience the outside world. He eventually decided to reject these ideals and sought to embrace the world and life style of the Federation and Starfleet. This was during his 16th year. When he communicated this choice to his family, he was immediately 'shunned' and from that moment on, he was treated not only as 'dead' but as if he had never existed. His name is forbidden to be spoken among his people, and his family even held a funeral for him. He spent two (2) years trying to overcome the educational deficits he had incurred, and eventually succeeded in passing the Starfleet entrance exam. |
