Description | The Vesta-class starship features five transporter rooms located throughout the ship. In case of emergencies, injured personnel can be directly transported to either the primary sickbay or auxiliary sickbay from anywhere in transporter range, including inside the ship. Like many Federation Starfleet vessels, the Vesta-class' transporters have six standard pads located in front of a control console. The transporter controls are located in an elevated booth where two crewmembers can operate them in conjunction with a wall panel for more complicated transports. Turbolift access is located in the corridor directly outside each transporter room, thereby connecting each facility with other major areas of the ship. Passengers and guests arriving aboard the Thames can go from any transporter room directly to the turbolift which will then deliver them to their required destination anywhere on the ship. Transport Room 01 is always kept at the ready to transport passengers and crew on or off the ship. Away teams can be beamed from the ship into important situations instantaneously. |
