Summary

Sickbay is the primary medical center aboard Federation starships. The area is also used for certain analyses of new lifeforms a starship might encounter and for developing treatments for unknown diseases or illnesses.

Description		One large sickbay facility, located on deck nine, serves as the primary care facility aboard Vesta-class starships. The room itself is considered to be general-purpose and is often the location of regular crew physicals, appointments, as well as various medical emergencies. It can effectively handle the majority of situations that a starship crew will face. Surrounding the primary sickbay are more specialized areas including two intensive-care wards, various medical laboratories, a nursery, three surgical suites, a null-grave therapy ward, a morgue, a biohazard isolation unit, and a dental care office. All medical facilities are equipped with the same holo-imaging systems as the rest of the ship. A smaller secondary medical facility is located on deck fourteen.
